This is a solar charger for maximum power point tracking ( MPPT ) of single-cell lithium batteries. This MPPT solar charger enables you to capture as much power as possible from solar panels or other photovoltaic devices into a rechargeable lithium battery. It's very easy to use, just plug the solar panel into one side of the solar charger, then plug the battery into the other side, and you're ready to charge!
Solar maximum power point tracking ( MPPT ) is to ensure that the light intensity changes and the photovoltaic cells output maximum power to make full use of solar energy. Typically, a switch-mode DC-DC converter is required to implement the MPPT function to maintain the maximum output voltage and charging current product (output).
The output of the solar charger is designed to charge a single polymer lithium-ion battery. The load should be connected in parallel with the battery. Each solar charger is equipped with the CN3791 power tracking battery charging circuit and comes pre-installed with four 2- pin JST/PH2.0 connectors.
By default, we set the holding voltage for MPPT . Therefore, we have 3 versions with input voltages of 6V , 9V , and 12V (corresponding to the operating voltage of the solar panel 6V / 9V / 12V ), which is very suitable for applications where the voltage difference between the input voltage and the battery voltage is large.
When the current output capability of the input power supply decreases, the internal circuit of CN3791 can automatically track the maximum power point of the solar panel. Users do not need to consider the worst case scenario and can maximize the output power of the solar panel. It is very suitable for applications that use solar panels for power supply. .
Note: If the CN3791 MPPT solar charger is the 9V version, you must use a solar panel with an operating voltage of 9V .
