Function description:

The LM317 has an output voltage range of 1.25V-37V (this kit is designed for a 1.25V-12V output range) and a maximum load current of 1.5A. It's very easy to use, requiring only two external resistors to set the output voltage. Furthermore, its line and load regulation are better than standard fixed-voltage regulators. The LM317 has built-in protection circuits, including overload protection and safe zone protection. To ensure output performance, R should be less than 240 ohms. Changing the RP resistor value adjusts the regulated voltage. D5 and D6 protect the LM317. The output voltage is calculated using the formula: Uo = (1 + RP/R) * 1.25. LED1 serves as the voltage indicator; the higher the voltage, the brighter the LED.
