The MC-38 is a type of magnetic door contact switch commonly used in security systems. It consists of two parts:
    The switch (usually wired and mounted on the door frame), and
    The magnet (usually mounted on the door).

When the door is closed, the magnet is close to the switch, and depending on the type (normally-closed or normally-open), the circuit behaves differently.
